The Council Coordination Committee (CCC) consists of the chairs, vice chairs, and executive directors of the nation’s eight regional fishery management councils. The CCC meets twice each year to discuss issues relevant to all Councils, including matters related to implementation of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (MSA).

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), also known as NOAA Fisheries, hosts the first meeting each year, typically in January or February.

This year’s winter meeting was held Feb. 28-March 1 in Pentagon City, Arlington, VA.

The second annual CCC meeting is held in the spring by the chair or “host” Council, which rotates annually among the eight regional councils.

This year, the New England Council is hosting the May 15-18 meeting at the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester, MA.

More information is available in the meeting notice and at:

A transcript of the winter meeting also can be found on the NOAA Fisheries CCC page or though the U.S. Regional Fishery Management Councils website.
