The Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organization (NAFO) will hold its 40th Annual Meeting September 17-21, 2018 in Tallinn, Estonia.
- WHAT IS NAFO: NAFO is a regional fisheries management organization that coordinates scientific study and cooperative management of Northwest Atlantic fisheries resources, excluding salmon, tunas and marlins, whales, and sedentary species such as shellfish.
- WHO BELONGS TO NAFO: The organization currently has 12 contracting parties, including Canada, Cuba, Denmark/Faroe Islands/Greenland, the European Union, Iceland, France in respect of the islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon, Iceland, Japan, Norway, the Republic of Korea, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, and the United States.
