The Council Coordination Committee (CCC) consists of the chairs, vice chairs, and executive directors of the nation’s eight regional fishery management councils. The CCC meets twice each year to discuss issues relevant to all Councils, including matters related to implementation of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (MSA).

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), also known as NOAA Fisheries, hosts the first meeting each year, typically in January or February.

This year, the meeting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 28 and Wednesday, March 1 in Arlington, VA. The meeting announcement is available at Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City.

The public is invited to listen in via webinar or telephone:

The second annual CCC meeting typically is held in May or June by the “host” Council, which rotates annually among the eight regional councils.

This year, the New England Council is hosting the May 15-18 meeting at the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester, MA. More information will follow.
