The purpose of the EFH Summit is to assess and identify opportunities, challenges, and successful approaches for the effective implementation of the Magnuson-Stevens Act EFH authorities.
The meeting will benefit council and NOAA Fisheries regional office, science center, and headquarters staff who contribute to habitat research, identification of EFH, and the implementation and use of EFH authorities. Additional participants may include leaders, managers, scientists, advisors, and others who play a key role in the integration of habitat into broader research and management initiatives. The EFH Summit is a public meeting and will be open to interested stakeholders.
