New stock assessments for monkfish, black sea bass, scup, and bluefish will be peer reviewed on August 5-7, 2019 at the Northeast Fisheries Science Center's Woods Hole Laboratory.

Black sea bass, bluefish, and scup have strong recreational components.These assessments will incorporate updated data through 2018, including newly revised catch estimates for recreational fishing.
Data and models will be evaluated by an independent panel of experts at this meeting. More information about the review and the review panel is posted here.
