Risk Policy Working Group
In March 2023, the Risk Policy Working Group was reconstituted to review the Council’s Risk Policy Statement and develop recommendations for future changes. The working group successfully addressed the TORs and was discontinued in June of 2026.
The Council approved the revised Risk Policy Statement in September 2024 and accepted a revised Risk Policy Concept in June 2026.

The working group is comprised of representatives from the Council’s Scientific and Statistical Committee, the Greater Atlantic Regional Fisheries Office, the Northeast Fisheries Science Center, Council staff, and five Council members.
