IMPORTANT UPDATE – WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY SCHEDULE CHANGES! 

The Council is ahead of schedule on its June meeting agenda.  Please note the following changes.

  • Wednesday, June 23:  The Council discussed three items on Wednesday morning that were originally scheduled for Thursday, June 24:  (1) Financial Disclosures and Recusal; (2) Southeast For-Hire Electronic Reporting Requirements; and (3) the ICCAT Advisory Committee report.
  • Thursday, June 24:  The Council will begin the meeting at 9:00 a.m. with the Highly Migratory Species (HMS) presentation on Amendment 13, followed by the HMS Advisory Committee report. The Council then will take up the Skate Committee report, followed by the EBFM item and other business.  Here is the revised schedule for Thursday with approximate times.

Interested in speaking? Email Janice Plante at jplante@nefmc.org to get on the list.

  • Don’t forget! If you want to speak during opportunities for public comment, you need to: (1) register for the webinar; and (2) actually “join” the webinar. People who call in by telephone without joining the webinar will be in listen-only mode. Those who take both steps – register and then join the webinar – will see the meeting screen and be able to click on a “raise hand” button, which will let the meeting organizer know you want to be unmuted to speak.
